For over 15 years, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people grow—through coaching, counselling, and meaningful conversation. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone move forward with clarity and confidence.

One day, while sitting in a barber’s chair with my son, a simple idea took hold: what if a haircut could be more than just a service? What if it became a space for real conversation, guidance, and connection?

That’s how Roald & Co was born.

We exist to bring together grooming, mentorship, and convenience—creating an experience where you leave not only looking sharp, but feeling sharper too. Every cut is an opportunity for connection, growth, and a conversation that matters.

FAQs

All bookings are done via WhatsApp. This allows us to confirm your preferred time, location, and the type of service you’d like.

Once everything is confirmed, payment can be made via PayShap (card payments coming soon).

Yes. I offer a fully mobile service and can come to you for your convenience.

Travel is generally included within a reasonable distance. For longer trips, any additional travel fee will be discussed and agreed upon upfront during the WhatsApp booking.

Mobile appointments require a booking deposit to secure your time and travel. This ensures commitment and allows me to plan my schedule effectively.

The remaining balance is payable on arrival, before the service begins.
Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations (less than 2 hours’ notice).

  • Essential Cut: ±30–45 minutes

  • Signature Cut & Conversation: ±1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes

The Signature session may vary slightly depending on the depth of the conversation.

The Signature Cut is designed as a more intentional experience.

It includes a precision haircut, beard work (if needed), and a focused, coaching-style conversation.

If you’re only looking for a haircut without the conversation, the Essential Cut is the better option.

A few simple things help ensure a smooth experience:

  • A well-lit area (I will bring additional lighting if needed)

  • Enough space for me to move around comfortably

  • Access to a plug point if available (not essential)

  • A private or quiet space if you prefer a more personal conversation

I work with clients of all ages.

For younger children, I may ask for a parent’s assistance to help keep them comfortable and still during the cut.

For hygiene and safety reasons, I do not work on active skin or scalp conditions.

If you have any concerns, please disclose them during booking and seek medical advice where necessary.

Yes, group bookings are welcome.

  • Must be arranged in advance

  • Enough time must be allocated for each person

  • 20% discount per person for group bookings within standard travel range

For longer distances, travel fees may be waived, but this will be confirmed during booking.

My schedule is flexible due to travel, so booking in advance is recommended.

  • Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 19:00

  • Weekends: 09:00 – 14:30

Yes! This is encouraged.

When booking, please share:

  • A rough idea of the style you want

  • Any reference images (if possible)

  • Preferred lengths or details

This helps me prepare and deliver exactly what you’re looking for.

I understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 2 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made with less than 2 hours’ notice will incur a R120 cancellation fee. This is to cover reserved time, travel, and the opportunity to have booked another client.

I do understand that emergencies happen, and these will always be considered on a case-by-case basis.
